Mother (also known as Earthbound Zero) is a game that was released on the Famicon in Japan. It was also released on the Game Boy Advance, being paired along with Mother 2. Mother follows the adventures of a psychic boy whose default name is Ninten. As the game progresses, Ninten meets friends along the way who help him fight. Mother was successful in Japan. It sold about 400,000 copies. In two polls held by Famitsu, Mother was rated the ninth best game on the Famicom and the thirty-eighth best game of all time.
